昆明理工大学环境科学与工程学院2025年中国政府奖学金国际暑期学校项目招生通知

一、时间与地点

时间:2025年暑期(为期25天,时间安排将在7月下旬至8月下旬之间,根据实际招生情况确定)

地点:中国云南省昆明市昆明理工大学(呈贡校区)

二、项目主题与定位

昆明理工大学是国家“中西部高校基础能力建设工程”重点建设高校,是云南省人民政府与国家有关部委共建高校,是云南省高水平大学重点建设高校。学校创建于1954年,具有鲜明的工科特色,在材料、冶金、环境、能源等领域具有优势学科和科研平台。环境科学与工程学院是昆明理工大学重要的教学科研单位,设有环境科学与工程博士后流动站和博士学位授权点,是国家级特色专业建设点、国家一流本科专业建设点,在水污染控制、固废资源化、大气污染治理等方向形成了突出的研究特色。

本次暑期学校依托昆明理工大学环境学科优势与国际合作网络,面向全球高校青年学者开展以“环境治理”与“数字创新”并重的跨文化交流与产学研融合教学实践。两个子项目均已获批2025年中国政府奖学金专项资助,分别为:

1. “全球环境教育伙伴计划”项目:聚焦生态文明、环境政策、区域治理等议题,建立环境治理多边对话机制,突出政策协同与文化互鉴。

2. “智慧环境与数字创新”项目:围绕数字化转型背景下的环境技术融合创新,强调AI、大数据、区块链等前沿工具在环境治理中的实际应用。

三、课程设计

(一)前言学术讲座

(1)“全球环境教育伙伴计划”项目

主题:全球性与区域性环境问题、工业三废处理与资源化、环境功能材料等全球性环境研究热点课题

(2)“智慧环境与数字创新”项目

主题:AI赋能的环境功能材料研究、AI赋能的污染物迁移机理研究及数据驱动的环境工程实践等智慧环境热点课题

(二)产业实践参访

直流吸入式低速边界层环境风洞、碳循环与污染土壤修复综合实验基地、实验/生活污水处理工艺实践基地、昆明市水质净化厂及云天化环保等企业实训基地。

四、招生对象与计划

招生对象:来自全球高校的外籍本科生、硕士研究生、博士研究生、科研人员及在职教师。专业方向:环境工程、生态政策、国际关系、计算机科学、数据科学等

招生规模:两个项目每个招收20人,共计40人

五、资助标准(参照中国政府奖学金)

本项目根据“二类学科”(理学、工学、农学)学生类别标准,学费全免,按实际学习时长(25天,对应1人月)提供如下资助:

2025 CHINESE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL PROGRAM

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

I. Program Schedule and Venue

Date: Summer 2025 (25 days in total, scheduled flexibly between late July and late August, depending on actual enrollment conditions)

Location: Kunming University of Science and Technology (KUST) (Chenggong Campus), Yunnan, China

II. Program Overview

Kunming University of Science and Technology (KUST) is a key university under the national initiative to develop higher education in western and central China. Jointly built by the Yunnan Provincial Government and several national ministries, KUST is a provincial high-level university with strong engineering strengths. Founded in 1954, KUST has developed competitive advantages in materials, metallurgy, environment, and energy disciplines.

The Faculty of Environmental Science and Engineering at KUST is a core academic and research unit offering postdoctoral programs and Ph.D. degrees. It hosts nationally recognized majors and first-class undergraduate programs, and it features distinctive research in water pollution control, solid waste recycling, and air pollution management.

This Summer School is hosted by Kunming University of Science and Technology (KUST)—Yunnan’s largest comprehensive university with strong engineering focus—and its Faculty of Environmental Science and Engineering, a nationally recognized center for environmental education and research training.

The 2025 program emphasizes both environmental governance and digital innovation, combining interdisciplinary academic training, industry immersion, and cross-cultural exchange. Two CGS‑funded sub-programs are included:

1. Global Environmental Education Partnership Program: Focused on ecological civilization, environmental policy, and regional collaboration.

2. Smart Environment and Digital Innovation Program: Centered on AI, big data, and blockchain applications in environmental engineering.

III. Curriculum Design

(1) Thematic Academic Lectures

(a) Global Environmental Education Partnership Program

Topics: Global and regional environmental issues, industrial “three wastes” treatment and resource recovery, environmental functional materials, and other global research frontiers in environmental science.

(b) Smart Environment and Digital Innovation Program

Topics: AI-powered research on environmental functional materials, AI-driven studies on pollutant transport mechanisms, and data-driven practices in environmental engineering—covering key frontiers in smart environmental technologies.

(2) Industry Field Visits

- Low-speed Boundary Layer Wind Tunnel

- Carbon Cycle and Contaminated Soil Remediation Base

- Urban/Rural Wastewater Treatment Training Center

- Kunming Water Purification Plant and Yuntianhua Environmental Industry Base

IV. Eligibility and Enrollment Plan

- Participants: International undergraduate seniors, master’s and Ph.D. students, researchers, and faculty members

- Fields of Study: Environmental Engineering, Ecology, Policy, Computer/Data Science, International Studies, etc.

- Enrollment Quota: 20 students per program, total 40 students

V. Scholarship Coverage (Based on CGS Tier-II Disciplines)

According to the funding criteria for “Category II disciplines” (Science, Engineering, Agriculture), tuition fees for this program are fully waived. Financial support will be provided based on the actual study duration (25 days, equivalent to 1 person-month) as follows:
